I had my worst attack of psoriatic arthritis recently. I began another water fast to try to stop it.
I starting cutting back on food on September 9th, having only one meal in the morning and then a couple of pieces of fruit in the day. I didn’t eat at all on the 10th and 11th. I started eating again on Tuesday evening. It took a few more days after that to get up to full caloric intake.
The results were again miraculous. My limp disappeared. I could stand up straight. The pain was gone.
For the first time, water fasting didn’t become nearly unbearable (or unbearable). It wasn’t pleasant, but I was okay. I was sure to drink a lot of water.
I will continue to fast once per month from now on. I haven’t been doing water fasts for a long time. I tried alternate day fasting, and the results from that were great, but I started to feel very strange — shortness of breath — so I stopped. I need to do more research.
I also started taking vitamin D again. I try to get at least 30 minutes of sun per day while it’s still summer. I had lapsed on my diet and was eating a little meat (possibly contributing to my last immune system attack), but now I’m back on track. I’ll try to post more updates soon.
